This is Kelly Rightsell’s Fancy Frogs Rug.

I could probably go on and on with all the cute child frog décor.

Nine ladies dancing appeared on this day. This is the Confidence poster found at Allposters.com. It reads “It’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you are.

This is Reluctant Dancer. 2 pals in tutus, how cute is that.

Eighth Day of Christmas

There were 8 Maids a milking on this day.
Here are some cute Cow Booties by Mud pie.

This is a 16 oz pitcher depicting the 8 maids a milking by Fitz & Floyd

The eighth day I will always remember because when I was a child I was in a Christmas play of the 12 days of Christmas and I was the 8 maids a milking. There were not 8 of us just I in a maids outfit milking an imaginary cow every time that part of the song came around. There were early signs I did not like to be on stage in front of a bunch of people. I distinctly remember a nervous twitch I had of scratching my nose. So after each time I milked the cow I would scratch my nose. I was annoyed with myself and aware of the twitch but could not stop myself. The thing is that no one else including my parents probably remembers that play, but I will forever remember those moments.

Seventh Day of Christmas

On the seventh day Swans were gifted. If you have gold bars buried in your back yard amongst your money tree orchard than I have found the item for you. This is the Imperial Swan Cradle with Bedding. I have never seen anything like it, although it is a little to fancy for my taste.

This is the 7th day of Christmas collectible Swan Bell made by Waterford crystal. I am into bells on Christmas. I have many sleigh & jingle bells decorated through out my house for the holidays.

Sixth Day of Christmas

On the sixth day geese laying eggs were gifted. Here is Mother Goose and Baby Clock by Vintage Artwork. This is a precious wooden handcrafted clock with a vintage image of a goose with a baby. How sweet this would look in a nursery.

This ornament by Charming Tails is their version of six geese a laying. It is made of resin and they make a different ornament for all 12 days of Christmas. You know I did not realize how many birds were given as gifts in this song until I started doing these postings. Birds most have been a popular gift back in the day.

Fifth Day of Christmas

On the fifth day golden rings were gifted. This is a mother and child gold ring by James Russell. There are many versions of this ring available by many jewelers.

I am not too big on the rings, especially since I am pregnant and it is more comfortable keeping the rings off then on. I am a big fan of the baby booty as far as jewelry goes. This adorable charm I found at Auntie’s treasures. There are several different varieties using different birthstone colors.

This is the 5 gold rings salad plate made by 222 fifth. They have the whole set of 12 plates you can by individually or as a set. I think it is a great set for the holidays. They also offer mugs with the designs on them.

Fourth Day of Christmas

On the Fourth day of Christmas 4 calling birds were gifted. I found this hand crafted Bird Parade Decorative Mobile on Etsy under seller giftsdefine. If you have not browsed Etsy yet, give it a try. It is kind of like eBay but way better because all the items are handmade by individual artists and crafters. I will often brose through items just for inspiration on my own crafting. If you are looking for one of a kind items start your search at Etsy.

I found this adorable photo of 4 calling birds and of course the famous baby photographer Anne Geddes is the one responsible. She has done a whole 12 days of Christmas series using babies as the muse in each of the photos.

Third Day of Christmas

On the third day three French Hens were gifted. I found this lovely Organic Hen Jumper Dress by Misha Lulu. I am having lots of fun web/window shopping and looking at all the little girl clothing available. Cost wise I can’t see my self spending too much on clothing that will not be worn for long but will be worn out with all the washing etc. I think my little one will be in onesies, T’s, and comfortable cottons the majority of the time. I am sure I will have a few special items that I must have for her that she could probably care less about.

Krinkles has a whole line of 12 days of Christmas ornaments. Here is their version of the 3 French Hens. Krinkles never seems to disappoint with all their Whimsical loveliness.

Second Day of Christmas

The second day revealed 2 turtle doves. I love turtles so I went the turtle route instead of dove. I found these wonderful burp cloths set by Cloud b that comes with an adorable baby turtle. What better way to keep your clothing clean from spit up than a satin trimmed burp cloth.

This is a Christmas card from Wondercat Design & illustration by Laura Smith Petersen titled Two Turtledoves. I just love how this is not what you would expect.

I was directed by one of my readers to this awesome Cloud B Turtle constellation nightlight . It has a projector in its shell that casts a complete starry night sky with eight constellations. It also has an automatic 45 minute shut off. I immediately put this on my Amazon wish list. Thanks so much for the link.

First Day of Christmas

I thought I would try to do 12 posts based on the 12 Days of Christmas song, by using the items in the song to find baby things to represent them. On the first day there is a Partridge in a Pear tree. I found this wonderful Partridge Jacket by Coco Bonbons. They have a wonderful line of children’s clothing.

This is an oil painting by Chris Buzelli. It is a Partridge in a Pear tree. I have seen a partridge once in an aviary. They are lovely birds; I particularly like their shape and size. Some of them can have wonderful coloring. If my true love gave me a partridge in a pear tree, I would be most happy about the tree & most curious about the bird in it.
