I have been working on this American Wave wall hanging. I had ordered the kit a few weeks ago from
Connecting Threads. Summer time always makes me feel patriotic. Right now I am cutting out the pieces. I am a little bit nervous about sewing all the curved edges together. Normally I would just modify the pattern and make the pieces rectangular to avoid sewing the curved edges. This time I felt the curved pieces were necessary to give the flag a wavy look. Plus this is the year for me to stretch my creative wings and to learn new skills. So bring on the curves baby, I am willing to give it a shot.

Love the curvy flags and patterns. I'd be nervous about sewing them up too - not that I'm suggesting you should be! Good luck.
good luck with the curves. i'm sure by the end of the project you will have perfected this skill. :)
Looks like lots of fun - can't wait to see the finished project:) Cyndy
Can't wait to see how it comes out, it's looking good so far!
Your fabrics are lovely and that is a pattern I haven't seen before. Glad to see somebody else use's templates to make quilts. I'm a rank beginner and haven't learned to use a rotary cutter. Most patterns in magazines these days seem to call for rotary cutting. wishing you sunshine in your shadows :)
That is brilliant! I get scared with curves too - but I'm sure you will do a wonderful job. I love the fabrics you are using. Wish I was there to enjoy summer - it's getting cold here!
Curves will be so interesting...good luck...will check back to see it completed!
Greetings from south Africa
